Community Amplification Program

Community groups, nonprofits, local government agencies, and civic organizations: Do you have data, resources, reports, or information that needs to reach a wider audience?

The NCC Community Amplification Program connects organizations with content creators and trusted messengers to spread the word about important programs and resources. These creators work across platforms, mostly frequently on TikTok, Instagram, and Substack, and have deeply engaged audiences.

We are particularly interested in supporting projects around topics that frequently confront misinformation and disinformation, such as health and wellness, election integrity and civic engagement, immigration, and weather and climate.

One in five Americans consume news from online influencers, rising to one in four for Americans under 30. Creators play an important role in ensuring communities are informed. The high engagement and trust levels associated with creators make them effective conduits for disseminating accurate information and countering false narratives in real time. Their close-knit communities are more receptive to messages delivered by familiar and trusted voices, which is crucial in addressing sensitive topics and correcting fast-spread misinformation and disinformation online.

Selected organizations will be paired with a relevant creator and will collaborate on the best messaging to reach the intended audience. News Creator Corps will cover the costs, paying the creator for their work. The projects will likely be published throughout February and March.

Applications are due at 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, February 6, 2026. We will notify all applicants of their status by the end of February.
