Fall 2026 Trusted Creator Fellows

News Creator Corps is excited to announce the Fall 2026 class of the Trusted Creator Fellowship. This is our fourth cohort, and the most competitive one yet—nearly 600 creators applied for 20 spots. Over eight weeks, this class will work through citing sources, beat reporting, research and public records, business and partnerships, algorithms and revenue, combatting misinformation, interviewing, and AI.

The creators we selected are already trusted messengers in communities that traditional media has underserved, such as immigrant and Spanish-speaking communities, Indigenous communities, military families, and more. These 20 creators come from 13 states, and they cover everything from national and local politics and public health to food, cybersecurity, and childcare. With this class, NCC will have trained 70 creators across 26 states in just over a year.

This cohort runs straight through the 2026 midterm elections. For most of their audiences, the first place they’ll encounter information about voting deadlines, ballot measures, and what the results actually mean will be a feed, not a newscast. We’ll be working with these creators on the tools to meet that moment: how to source election information, how to explain what’s uncertain, and how to help their communities understand the impact of the results long after election night.

For the first time, we also reserved three spots for college creators. We’re excited to learn from them as we hone our strategy for working with emerging creators and reaching younger audiences.

The Fall cohort begins on October 5.
